Welcome God’s Spirit and the people God calls to hear His Word. 
Worship is directing our spirit to God’s Spirit.

So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added to them. Acts 2:41

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. Acts 2:42-43

Now all the believers were together and held all things in common. They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need. Acts 2:44-45

46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved. Acts 2:46-47

Everyday, Devoted, Favor

Worship is a lifestyle.

But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth. John 4:23

Worship is directing our Spirit to God’s Spirit
Aligning ourselves with God’s will
Revering and or honoring God
Celebrating God’s worthiness daily

Be Humble before God

God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
Be active toward God

Say it! Speak it! 

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. Psalm 34:1

Move it! 

Come, let’s worship and bow down; let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker. Psalm 95:6
Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with a jubilant cry. Psalm 47:1
So I will bless you as long as I live; at your name, I will lift up my hands. Psalm 63:4

Play it! Sing it!

Praise the Lord with the lyre; make music to him with a ten-stringed harp. Sing a new song to him; play skillfully on the strings, with a joyful shout. Psalm 33:2–3

Live it! 

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. 
Romans 12:1

Be changed by God.

Rich music, striking combinations of colour and of architectural forms, are nothing to God so far as worship goes, except insofar as they bring the human spirit into fellowship with Him. Marcus Dods.

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful. By it, we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:28–29
