We Were Made For Purpose

For he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in love before him. Ephesians 1:4

For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For the desire to do what is good is with me, but there is no ability to do it. Romans 7:18.

For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through him and for him. (Colossians 1:16, CSB)

For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. Colossians 1:16 The Message

We are made for peace
We are made for community.
We are Made for Purpose!

Question: What is it that excites you about your life? What impact do you want to make on the world?

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth., Genesis 1:1.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness.” Genesis 1:26

God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that crawls on the earth.” Genesis 1:28.

Real Love is putting others first.
It is the doing of good and the promotion of life.

When the Lord saw that human wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every inclination of the human mind was nothing but evil all the time, the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and he was deeply grieved. Ge 6:5–6.

Then the Lord said, “I will wipe mankind, whom I created, off the face of the earth, together with the animals, creatures that crawl, and birds of the sky—for I regret that I made them.” Genesis 6:7

Noah, however, found favor with the Lord. Ge 6:8.

Those that entered, male and female of every creature, entered just as God had commanded him. Then the Lord shut him in. Genesis 7:16.

God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. Genesis 9

Question: Do you feel that there is something between you and your destiny? Between God’s plan for you and where you are today?

 The Plan for Our Purpose

15 I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel. Ge 3:15.

When the time came to completion, God sent his Son, born of a woman, …, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4–524

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds, you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24.

God planned for humanity, His creation, to bear the image of Him.

The Gospel.

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9

For the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame,, Romans 10:11

…for through faith you are all sons of God in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female; since you are all one in Christ Jesus. Ga 3:28

For he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in love before him., 5 He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace that he lavished on us in the Beloved One. Ephesians 1:4–6

You were made for Purpose.

Reflection
Today, Jesus, I give my lie to you. I believe you died to for my sin, to conquer death. I trust you have overcome death. Come into my life. I live for you.
