Sometimes happiness doesn’t look like what you think it does.

Happiness begins when you realize how poor you really are.
A sin that is mourned is not readily committed again.
A disciple uses their strength to promote life, not to subject it.

Intimacy with God fills our starving soul.

Question: Do you long for a time when everything is good? Do you want peace in your life, but don’t know if you will ever see it?

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6

As a deer longs for flowing streams, so I long for you, God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I come and appear before God?
Psalm 42:1–2

He has also put eternity in their hearts, but no one can discover the work God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11

God has placed eternity in your heart and only God can fill that need.

Righteousness is living in right relationship with God, other people, and all creation.

Question: How would you define “righteousness?” If you examine yourself, how are you doing at being righteous all the time?

Feed your Soul.

1. Believe God.
The righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe, since there is no distinction. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; Romans 3:22–23

2. Passionately Follow God.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17

The Lord will not let the righteous go hungry, but he denies the wicked what they crave. Proverbs 10:3

Intimacy with God fills our starving soul.
