Sometimes happiness doesn’t look like what you think it does.

Pursue a pure heart, you will see God in action.

Question: How would you define purity? Do you think it is important to be “pure?” 

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8.

Purity is a condition of beauty in a person that displays God’s beauty.

Impurity will have devastating effects on us, and our loved ones.

Death is the inevitable outcome of a pursuit of impurity.

Why normalize impurity?

1. We think that impurity will give us happiness.

2. We become callous to impurity.

Question: Do you think that purity is evidence of God? Why do we struggle to be “pure?” How can we pursue purity?

Pursue PERFECT purity.

Follow the Map Jesus sets out in the beatitudes.

We…are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Perfect purity is impossible without Jesus.

For God has not called us to impurity but to live in holiness. 
1 Thessalonians 4:7

Be transformed.
Confess 
Seek wisdom from scripture and Christian friends 
Be able to articulate your standards

Jesus empowers you with the Holy Spirit to be pure.

Pursue PERFECT purity. and you will see God in action.
